- Concussion beats concentration. Template:TCG quote
Earth Shock is an instant cast spell that interrupts any channeling spell from the target, and it also prevents the target from casting for 2 seconds any spell that uses the same School of magic from interrupted spell. This spell is very useful against mobs/PCs who are Fire and Frost resistant, and especially against casters. However, do not let Earth Shock's secondary features blind you from the direct damage it can inflict; Earth Shock (most of the time) is the second best Shock spell (in damage per mana ratio and efficiency) in the Shaman players' arsenal.
Limitations
- It has 6 seconds cooldown linked to other shocks (global cooldown), which makes all the Shocks unusable for 6 seconds.
- Against players the interruption effect can be resisted using special resist mechanics given by particular talents of certain classes.
