Dragonscale Leatherworking Edit

Dragonscale armor is mail armor, which provides a little over double the armor protection of leather armor. Dragonscale armor has Attack Power and Intellect stats which are useful to Elemental Shamans and Hunters, who rely on physical attacks and can train to wear mail armor at level 40.

Warriors and Paladins can also wear this armor, but as they can wear plate armor by the time this armor becomes available it is less appealing to those classes.

The trainers for this specialty are, by faction, Official alliance mini-icon Peter Galen and Official horde mini-icon Thorkaf Dragoneye. Neutral 15 Andellion in Dalaran also trains these recipes. In order to gain this specialty you must complete the quest Neutral 15 [55] Dragonscale Leatherworking for your class trainer, available at level 40 and 225 Leatherworking skill.

The following patterns require Dragonscale Leatherworking Specialization and are only available from the specialty trainers:

Elemental Leatherworking Edit

Elemental Leather armor is leather armor, and any class that started with leather armor can wear it. Items exclusive to this specialty have an Agility boost and statistics most beneficial to rogues, feral druids, and hunters.

Neutral 15 Manfred Staller will also train any who can make it to Dalaran. In order to gain this specialty you must complete the quest Neutral 15 [55] Elemental Leatherworking, available at level 40 and 225 Leatherworking skill.

Tribal Leatherworking Edit

Tribal Leather armor is leather armor with Spellpower and Intellect stats, making it appealing to casters that can wear leather. It is tailored for restoration and balance (casting) druids, but may also appeal to Restoration and Elemental Shamans.

The Tribal Leather specialty trainers are, by faction, Official alliance mini-icon Caryssia Moonhunter and Official horde mini-icon Se'Jib. Neutral 15 Namha Moonwater in Dalaran also trains these recipes. In order to gain this specialty you must complete Neutral 15 [55] Tribal Leatherworking for your faction trainer, which is available at level 40 and 225 Leatherworking skill.
