Elemental Mastery is a nature ability that when activated, gives your next Fire, Frost, or Nature damage spell guaranteed critical strike and mana cost reduced by 100%. This ability is talent trained, requiring 30 points in the Elemental tree, making it popular with Elemental shamans.

• After activating Elemental Mastery, a buff appears indicating the next spell will be critical strike with mana cost reduced by 100%. This buff will remain indefinitely until the effect is used. The three minute cooldown will not begin until this current buff is consumed.

• Elemental Mastery buff can be dispelled / purged

• Spells that work with Elemental Mastery are: Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Earth Shock, Flame Shock and Frost Shock.

As of Patch 2.3, it is no longer possible to get two consecutive guaranteed critical strikes from using this ability.
