Notes
Elemental Weapons is a staple talent of most Enhancement builds. While Enhancement shamans usually use Windfury Weapon to the exclusion of all others, this talent produces the most marked improvement; the 40% bonus is added to the entire attack, which boosts the shaman's melee DPS output by 56% when using Windfury Weapon. This is one of the talents that allows an enhancement shaman to compete with other dual-wielders like Rogues and Fury-specced Warriors in melee DPS.
Restoration and Elemental shamans benefit significantly less from this talent, as the bonuses for Earthliving Weapon and Flametongue Weapon only apply to the flat bonuses granted by those imbues, and thus do not offer the bonus to scaling that is what make the talent so powerful for Enhancement.
Past changes
Elemental Weapons was added in Patch 2.0.1. Elemental Weapons was changed in Patch 3.0.2.
