The Engine of the Makers is a deep, tunnel-like Engine in the Foot Steppes. Its purpose is as of yet unknown.

It could be argued that the Engine of the Makers was used by the Titans to "jump-start" or create the core of Azeroth, given its location in Northrend.

At the bottom of the shaft, encased in a pillar of ice, lies a mysterious device that seem to be spouting cold air. This might explain the cold climate of Northrend.
