Entangled Gold Mines are units created using the Night Elf building Tree of Life and its upgraded forms.
When starting a match, the mine is automatically entangled for the player. Further mines will require the use of additional trees of life, ages, or eternity in range to entangle them, which is an automatic process. Once the mine is fully entangled, wisps can be sent to harvest gold. If the ancient is destroyed or uproots while entangling a mine, it automatically stops the process. If a mine is entangled but the ancient uproots, its grip on it is released.
Patch changes[]
- Patch 1.10 (2003-07-03):
- An "Occupied" graphic now appears over Orc Burrows, Goblin Zeppelins, Entangled Gold Mines, etc. This allows players to quickly tell how many units are currently occupying a structure or transport.
- Undead Acolytes and Night Elf Wisps that are rallied to an incomplete Entangled or Haunted Gold Mine will now automatically begin to mine once the structure is completed.
