This item drops off of Anubisaths, Earth Elementals, Golems, Infernals, Obsidian Destroyers, and Molten Giants in Ahn'Qiraj, Azshara, Felwood, Molten Core, and Un'goro Crater

It is also sometimes found in Small Obsidian Chunks and Big Obsidian Chunks in Ahn'Qiraj.

It can also be transmuted from an Essence of Fire or from a Living Essence by Alchemists with a skill level of 275 using a Philosopher's Stone. There is a global transmute cooldown of 24 hours.
