Essence of the Firelord is a component needed to make [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]. It drops from Ragnaros in Molten Core. The drop rate increases to 100% if you have already started the quest Thunderaan the Windseeker, obtained by having one of the Bindings of the Windseeker.
