Using this item on a Dead Icemaw Bear in the Hibernal Cavern will sometimes (but not always) result in gaining an Icemaw Bear Flank. The flank is then taken to an area of disturbed cave-bottom at the rear of the cave and placed among the shards and rocks. Jormuttar appears, and (presumably) the character slays it.
