When you accept the quest, you'll get this kit. Open the kit quickly, as it has a 10-minute limit, and Loramus will not give you another. There's a several-hour timer (and 5 uses) on the orb and no timer on the manual. It is possible to find the Azsharite crystals without the kit, it just takes a while.
