Felsteeds are rare warlock mounts able to be summoned beginning at level 20. They increase speed by 60% (the epic version is the dreadsteed). Unlike the epic Dreadsteed, the felsteed comes with beginning riding training.
When Journeyman Riding skill is later learned, the Felsteed will automatically scale to 100% riding speed.
The felsteeds were a race of wild horses that roamed the lands that are now Desolace. The Shadow Council corrupted them utterly and bound them forever to the service of warlocks. A demonic hollow in the east of Desolace, Shadowbreak Ravine, is home to a fair number of Shadow Council members. The ravine has several buildings, including a few stables that house felsteeds, most likely to be bound to the will of Shadow Council warlocks.
- Patch 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): Can now be learned at level 20.
- / Patch 3.0.2 (14-Oct-2008): Summon Dreadsteed/Felsteed: Mana cost removed, global cooldown removed.
- Patch 2.4.3 (2008-07-15): Mounts at 30?! Yes, it’s true: Apprentice Riding and mounts are now available at level 30.
Also, the mount will not appear in your spellbook as it used to. It is now found in the pets tab on your Character Page.
- Patch 1.12.1 (26-Sep-2006): The mount system has been re-vamped and the felsteed now also comes with the Apprentice Riding skill.
