Cataclysm[]
- Main article: Ruins of Taurajo
During the Cataclysm, the town was assaulted by the Alliance, and firebombed by Wildhammer mercenaries.[1] In order to secure their offensive against the Horde, the Alliance, expanding from Northwatch Hold under false information that the tauren were planning an attack, razed Camp Taurajo in a massacre.[2][3]

In the RPG[]
Camp Taurajo is run by tauren, and Jorn Skyseer leads it. It lies along the Gold Road, south of Crossroads. The camp is concerned with defending against the encroaching quilboar, and often holds captured quilboar prisoners. Brann Bronzebeard speculates that if the threat of the quilboar is ever removed, they may turn their attention toward the dwarves at Bael Modan, potentially posing a threat to the excavation.[4]
Trivia[]
- In the Mists of Pandaria beta, Thunder Cleft was originally named New Taurajo.
