Fire giants are a type of giant found in Northrend. As the name suggests, they are associated with fire and are recognizable by their smelting pot belt buckles, stovepipe helms, and dragonhide cloaks. Brann Bronzebeard claims that fire giants are creations of the titans.[1]
Since the corruption by Yogg-Saron, most known fire giants were servants of the Loken, with Ignis and Volkhan both directly created by the mad keeper.[2] The fire giants were under the order of Loken to produce soldiers for the iron army.
Following the defeat of Yogg-Saron and Loken, the Keepers brought back Ignis by their side to work in Ulduar's forges.[3]
