First Summertide Assault

The First Summertide Assault was a huge battle involving the Scarlet Crusade at its monastery in the Tirisfal Glades against the Scourge. According to the Compendium of Fallen Heroes, a book located inside Acherus: The Ebon Hold, the First Summertide Assault was the first of three led by a human necromancer named Diodor the Damned, who led Scourge forces to victory during this battle and again during the Second Summertide Assault, before he was finally killed at the third (and last) confrontation.

One of the many casualties of the First Summertide Assault was Ferren Marcus, High Abbot of the Scarlet Monastery.
