Flametongue and Spellpower

In Wrath of the Lich King, Flametongue Weapon was changed to give a straight buff to spellpower. In addition Enhancement shamans can spec into the spell Lava Lash which increases damage by 25% if the offhand weapon is imbued with Flametounge Weapon. Flametongue Weapon scales best on a fast weapon because of the flat 10% spell damage coefficient across weapon speeds.

Tips

  • While Flametongue is useless against foes with high Fire resistance, it is not halted by those with high armour.
