Divine Plea is a Paladin spell trained at level 44. It restores 12% of the Paladin's total mana over 9 seconds, but reduces the Paladin's healing output by 50% during that time. It can be considered a Paladin's version of a Druid's [Innervate]. As with a Druid's Innervate it is based on a percentage of the caster's maximum mana, meaning the larger your mana pool, the larger the mana return from Divine Plea.
For a Protection Paladin with the correct Talents Divine Plea not only generates mana but also instantly gives the caster three Holy Power.
Improvements
Talents
Protection
- [Shield of the Templar] reduces the cooldown of Avenging Wrath by 20/40/60 sec and Guardian of Ancient Kings by 40/80/120 sec. In addition, it causes your Divine Plea to generate 1/2/3 Holy Power.
Glyphs
- [Glyph of Divine Plea] (Major Glyph) causes Divine Plea to provide an additional 5% of the paladin's total mana.
Notes
While Divine Plea is active all healing done by the Paladin is reduced by 50%, meaning it is best to use during a period of low incoming damage. Should you need the mana return during a period of high incoming damage you can negate some of the reduced healing done by using [Avenging Wrath] in conjunction with Divine Plea. Both Avenging Wrath and Divine Plea are on a 2 minute cooldown provided you take the correct Holy Tree talents, meaning both spells can be used together every cooldown.
Patch changes
- Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Now affected by the talent Shield of the Templar.
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Mana restored reduced to 10%, down from 25%. Cooldown increased to 2 min, up from 1 min. Is now learned at level 44 instead of 71. There are no longer any talents which affects it, and its sole glyph has been redesigned. Divine Plea in combination with [Guarded by the Light] (pre-4.0.1 effect) as been replaced by [Judgements of the Wise] as primary method for tanking paladins to generate mana during combat.
- Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Divine Plea can once again be dispelled.
- Patch 3.0.9 (2009-02-10): The amount healed by your spells is reduced by 50% (up from 20%), but the effect can no longer be dispelled.
