I've been away from the WoW world since about January. That includes the Wowwiki. Now that I'm coming back I'm trying to get settled back in here and when I first logged in I was greeted by an ugly skin. I switched it back to what was called the "old skins: wowwiki" but as soon as I saved it I ended up at a mostly empty screen. Take a look: [1]

It works fine in Chrome. I've tried all the standard tricks like clearing the cache and such but nothing is working.

You mean the "wowwiki" skin under "Old skins" that I'm using in Firefox that works perfectly fine? I suspect you're having issues with Firefox or one of its extensions. —EGingell (T|C|F) Treader of Cenarion Circle 08:33, July 30, 2010 (UTC)
I lied, I wasn't actually using it, but I switched to it (or at least previewed it) and this: http://test.wowkoe.com/oldskin.pngEGingell (T|C|F) Treader of Cenarion Circle 08:44, July 30, 2010 (UTC)
AdBlockPlus. The rule should be .content-ads. Disable it. Known issue. Wikia may or may not be fixing it. [Opinion: They are if they are not fixing it, as that's not a class you should be applying to your content div. Hrp.] --Sky (t · c) 09:43, July 30, 2010 (UTC)
That worked. I forgot about AdBlock, but even so I wouldn't have expected .content-ads to destroy the entire page. Thanks Sky. Darxide (talk) 02:59, July 31, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, thank GOD for this solution! Last Firefox/Flash update triggered this for me, and my stoopid brain couldn't find the problem posted on teh interwebz, so I was stuck using (*shudder*) Explorer. Serenity is now restored.  ;-) Keyesc (talk) 21:00, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
It's actually pretty easy to get around the problem as this class wasn't being applied in Monaco, so appending "?useskin=monaco&usetheme=custom", or even simply "?useskin=monaco" to the end of the URL of a given page would have displayed correctly. But that's neither here nor there... --Sky (t · c) 23:19, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
I added a detection script which says about as much. Hopefully this goes away soon, though. --PcjWoWWiki admin (TDrop me a line!C62,301 contributions and counting) 23:38, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
