Forums: Index World of Warcraft A problem with Rogues

Maybe I am the only person that has a severe problem with this but I can't defend myself at all against a rogue. They continue to stun me till i'm dead and I don't even get any chance at all to fight back and I feel there is really no competition in that. Now I play a very good hunter (so I'm told) and I even enjoy going up against a Pally though people say they are sooooooo OP, but I stand at least a chance against them and they are a challenge for me ( I have survived against Pallys before )But I have no chance to fight back against a rogue as they can just spam sap stab till I'm dead so I don't even try anymore, It's no fun when there is nothing that you can even do. I feel that abilities that are "crippling" like that ( stun, sap, fear,) should have cool downs, not basically be used to "one shot" people. I have played many RPG games with Rogue classes in them and the classes all had a stun or backstab move like the sap, however, the move was used to gain a quick advantage in the beginning of a fight or to stop an opponent temporarily so that the rogue could escape if in trouble. The move was not used to hit an opponent once and immobilize them for the entire fight. Is there something that as a hunter I am missing here? Some trinket or something other than flare that can allow me the chance to at least defend myself against a rogue? ( Who's going to sit in one place and spam flare through out an entire BG, and even when you do detect a rogue with it, if they hit you even once, you have no chance to defend yourself once again so it's back to square one.)Anyone have any ideas here for me before I lose my mind?

I suggest Hello Kitty ... Nah I'm just kidding =P. But you might get more opinions asking at the official World of Warcraft forums. User:Coobra/Sig4 02:26, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
I play a hunter who gets ganked by rogues too. Try hunters mark. If that fails, I suggest you stay with a healer. If that and all else fails, barricade yourself in a long corridor with several traps, lots of ammo and a healer. Rogues have trouble with hunters too remember. At level 40, mail becomes available, beating their armour. Plus they are a melee class and if can get the drop on them from a distance with hunter's mark, the fight is practically lost. Whatever you do, don't rant on the forums about how overpowered they are, not that I'm saying you will. Those who complain are not the first and won't be the last. It helps to play a dwarf cause their stoneform is a real help against their overpowered arsenal. "If you can bring a rogue down in melee as a hunter, you are a god among them."
