Forums: Index Warcraft lore Draenei timeline views

I've been trying to put the Draenei's background into a timeline as best I could for the past few days. It's something that you really have to read into with the multitude of big characters that come into their history as well. I've acquired quite the headache trying to do this.but even though I've put a good amount of work into it, I cannot think I could go without the views, opinions, and criticism of others.

Below is what I've tried to make sense off so far. See something that doesn't make sense or something that you find in need of more depth, by all means, please say so!

Proposed Edit

-25,000 ago:[1]

Sargeras (fallen titan) easily corrupted Archimonde and Kil'jaeden (2 of 3 leaders of the eredar on Argus), promising them more power and knowledge than their race already had.

Velen (the 3rd eredar leader) had vision of himself, Archimonde and Kil'jaeden destroying everything. Archimonde and Kil'jaeden didn't listen to Velen.

Helped by a member of the Naaru named K'ure, Velen with only a several hundred of trusted Eredar fled Argus (the Eredar's/Draenei's home planet) in K'ure's ship, Oshu'gun (a large space craft made from a single large diamond.)

The Eredar that were reluctantly left behind were turned into demons (wrathguards and eredar warlocks and possibly Ered'ruin) by Sargeras.

-For the next few millennia (3k years):

Kil'jaeden followed the fleeing Eredar, wanting revenge as he felt betrayed by Velen as they wondered through space on the Oshu'gun.

Still traveling through space, the Eredar gave up their original name, renaming themselves Draenei (translates to 'exiles'), possibly to disassociate themselves from their demonic-turned cousins.

The Draenei began to worship the Naaru (finding religion then). They also began to be trained into vindicators (the first paladins, long before the Order of the Silver Hand).

-An undetermined (short?) amount of time afterwords:

Due to K'ure's declining health, the Draenei were forced to settle on the Orcish homeworld.[2] As the Orcs had no name for it, the Draenei called it "Draenor" (Exiles' Refuge). Later on, Draenor would be called Outland.

-Over an unknown amount of centuries:

The Temple of Karabor was built.[3]

The Draenei and Orcs lived in peace though didn't interact much.

-Shortly after:

Kil'jaeden's minion, Talgath (Velen's old friend entruted to gather uncorrupted Eredar back on Argus) found the Draenei had settled on Draenor.

Rather than launch a frontal assault, Kil'jaeden manipulated the Orcish shaman leaders into thinking that the Draenei had hostile intentions. Trusting their spiritual leaders, the Orcs attempted to wipe the Draenei out.

The Temple of Karabor was overtaken by corrupted orcs and Kil'jaeden's minions

The few Draenei survivors (about a quarter to a fifth of the population) went into hiding.

-About 30 years later:

Shattrath City (dwelling of light) was built.

Orcs and legion (Sargeras' army) destroy Shattrath, nearly destroying but greatly ruining Draenor, turning it into Outland.

The Naaru begin to train the Draenei in the ways of the Sha'tar[1](?)

Draenei defend and defeat attackers and begin to rebuild Shattrath.

Tempest Keep (Naaru-built ship) materialized off of Netherstorm and was immediately mobbed by Legion-affiliated Blood Elves led by Kael'thas Sunstrider (Blood Elf prince).

The Draenei mustered a strike force to capture a wing of the Keep (Exodar).

Unfortunately, they missed a few elves, who sabotaged the fortress and crashed it into an obscure archipelago off northern Kalimdor. And that's where The Burning Crusade begins.

Nearly half of Kael'thas' Blood Elves broke away after attacking Shattrath, and instead offered to aid the Naaru. This lead them to have their own place in Shattrath along side but only just having to be dealt with by thr Draenei.

This began the standing but shaky relationship of the Aldor and the Scryers. The Aldor who were the Draenei who defended Shattrath. And the Skryer who were the attacking Blood Elves but then after served the Naaru in hopes [[A'dal]l] (Naaru leader) would cure their magic addiction. The two factions (Aldor and Skryer) now subtly fight amongst the other for the Naaru's favor.

Again please say if something's amiss. I'm only trying to understand this better as I'm sure many others are as well.

It's a fine start, but you really need citations or links to sources. If you have good citations or links to credible sources, feel free to add to Timeline (unofficial). --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 1 Apr 2012 9:34 PM Pacific
Well I'd like to. I know for a fact that everything that happened in the first 28,000 years took place in that order. I'm just not possitive that the order that everything after that time is accurate. That's why I'm looking for criticisms for now to refine the order of what happened better.
I did however add links to everything I spoke of like you suggested. I would love to be able to add to the timeline you posted. I just want this to be as accurate as possible.
