Forums: Village pump → Eredar or Man'ari Eredar
We have these pages:
I think that Eredar is pretty redundant, and that Man'ari Eredar should be moved there. Why?
- 1-It has been stated to be their name: File:Eredar description.jpg
- 2-They aren't the original species, yeah, but neither are orcs, and original orcs are called Mag'har instead of orcs, while green orcs are called orcs.
- 3-"Man'ari" is just a word the draenei use to refer to them as twisted creatures.
- 4-Draenei refer to themselves as Draenei, and no longer see themselves as Eredar.

- I think we should leave it. Theoretically, the Eredar were changed into the Man'ari Eredar by Sargeras and the Draenei fled, but were more like the original Eredar. So, really both the Draenei and the corrupted Eredar started out as Eredar, but we need some way to distinguish the corrupted ones from the original ones and the exiled Draenei. However, if you want to work on a proposed merger of Eredar and Man'ari Eredar and post it somewhere (like in a user subpage), I might reconsider if it looks well-written. --

- This was being talked about at Talk:Man'ari eredar#Term. The "Man'ari eredar" page as it is has several redirects to it, as there is no official term that distinguishes the original Eredar from the demonic ones. Should the pages be merged? Perhaps. If they do, I would like it to be about the entire Eredar race, including a blurb about current Draenei the and {{Main|Draenei}} note somewhere next to the blurb.--SWM2448 20:31, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

- Eredar (man'ari) is not yet a redirect. That is surprising. However, I doubt moving the demonic Eredar page again will solve anything.--SWM2448 20:49, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- But, the problem is that the original Eredar are the Draenei. We don't need an extra page for them. They changed their race name, just like Mag'Har did.
- I would leave Eredar as the history of the main race, with the addition of the demonic influence, with a link to those who "betrayed" the Eredar race, the Draenei.--Lon-ami (talk) 11:06, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
- The reason I told to use "Eredar (man'ari)" is because the term man'ari isn't the name of the race, but it means something twisted or corrupt, so that would include just the eredar that were corrupted by Sargeras; this article should be cleaned up and expanded the information of only the corrupted ones. While the "Eredar" article should be a general overlook of both the corrupted eredar and the draenei, but centred in the original species. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 05:31, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
