The djinni (pronounced genie), or djinn, are a type of air elemental that can be found in the Skywall.[1] They made their first appearance into the game during World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
It was the djinn that gave the tol'vir back their immortality as creatures of stone, a gift from Deathwing as they called it. This group of tol'vir became known as the Neferset.
The djinni fall under two different rankings and sizes in the elemental hierarchy. Normal "Djinni" have a low ranking, just under frost revenants and lightning revenants, while "Djinni Nobles" have a high ranking, the only known creatures just under Al'Akir himself. [1] Given their titles and positions, the djinni that actually appear in-game are most likely djinni nobles.
Notable djinni
- Anshal <Lord of the West Wind>
- Nezir <Lord of the North Wind>
- Rohash <Lord of the East Wind>
- Siamat <Lord of the South Wind>
- Asaad <Caliph of Zephyrs>
Notes
The Djinni are a reference to the Djinn in Arabic mytholigy.
