Forums: Village pump → Requiring Javascript to log in is B.A.D.

Bad. Application. Design.

Folks like me who browse with javascript turned off most of the time, ... will be distinctly turned off. I know I am.

Please, restore the login page that lets you log in without requiring Javascript. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 17:49, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Please visit w:Forum:Help desk for all complaints about Wikia and their processes. I understand your pain but there isn't much we can do about it, they didn't advise us (esp. me) of this beforehand. --PcjWowpedia wiki manager (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 23:02, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
I actually worked on the project to update the signin process: however, this is not an intended effect. Special:Signup has a login area on the right. Are you not seeing this? Kirkburn  talk  contr 23:36, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
I use the NoScript addon for Firefox, and am able to selectively allow Javascript on a per-address basis. With Javascript disabled for wowwiki.com, the log in button under the area on the right is unresponsive. Enable it, and voila. I am sorry I was not clear; it is this particular experience that I am complaining about.--Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:51, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
