Forums: Index WoWWiki technical The tooltip create parameter and disambiguation

Is there a way of configuring the "create" parameter of a tooltip to point to a specific page, but actually say something else? For example, see Pattern: Black Chitin Bracers (Horde). The "create" parameter currently points to the disambig page Black Chitin Bracers, the tooltip of which disambiguates to the Alliance version of the bracers. So if I mouse over the created item on the Horde tooltip I'll see the Alliance version. In this case, the difference between the two is trivial (a different icon), but I'm sure there are more serious examples.

If I set it to: "create=Black Chitin Bracers (Horde)" then the tooltip will show the correct thing, but it'll have the "(Horde)" bit incorrectly added to the end.

Basically I'd like to be able to do something like how "Black Chitin Bracers (Horde)|Black Chitin Bracers" syntax works in regular links, but that doesn't seem to work in this case.

Thanks! :)

Use |createpage= as I have on [Pattern: Black Chitin Bracers (Horde)]. --PcjWoWWiki admin (TDrop me a line!C62,301 contributions and counting) 04:13, March 19, 2010 (UTC)
