Forums: Village pump → Turn off new users in RecentChanges?

I just wanted to see if other people agreed with me on this...does anyone like seeing new users on RecentChanges? I don't see any value in it. Wikia told me they will turn it off if we reach a consensus to do so. Let me know your thoughts. It serves no other purpose than to welcome users before they edit or monitor for sockpuppets or inappropriate usernames. If neither of these are a concern, I don't see why it should be enabled. — Charitwo (talk) 04:25, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Turn it off. The only use I can think would be if someone creates a bunch of sockpuppets in a row, it could serve as a sort of listing, but that isn't much help. --Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 9:27 PM PST 31 May 2009
