Forums: Village pumpWarcraft games Use the Authenticator

I didn't use the authenticator and I got hacked. It sucks. I can still log in and managed to change my password, but I'm wondering if I should de-guild my characters until this all gets sorted out. Most of the stuff my characters could withdraw and sell of decent value appears to have been withdrawn and sold. Fortunately, the 2 guilds I'm in are dying or in a coma, so no one else was significantly harmed.

There is a free iPhone authenticator, right? I should get that. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 5:00 PM PST 7 Oct 2009

Yes theres an iPhone authenticator: Make sure you write down the activation code so that if you need to update your iphone, you'll be able to remove the app easily by contacting Billing - updating the iphone ends up giving a different activation code which locks you out of wow until you contact Billing to get the authenticator removed.
If your copy of wow crashes after adding the authenticator to your account, you still have a keylogger on your machine, and you'll need to run Malwarebytes and/or ComboFix to remove the keylogger(s). Hope this helps. :) Resa1983 (talk) 18:30, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
I have a Mac, so I'll bet there isn't a keylogger cleaner for Macs, but there might be. Frowney. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 9:18 PM PST 7 Oct 2009
