Forums: Village pumpWarcraft games Why Draenei will not get any new class?

It is stupid. Just think about Draenei in War3. They were best stealthers in game. Well, these ones were Broken, but i don't think they differ in this point so much. Draenei rogues is perfect idea. Warlock is less lore-based, but as many races prefer fight fire with fire, possibly Draenei will do so, as they are arch-enemies of Legion. Druid is possible due of influence of near-located Night Elves, as well as shamanism. --Asdruabel (talk) 18:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Here are some blue posts concerning no new classes for draenei:
While not very satisfying, they give a little insight into what Blizzard was thinking. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 2:46 PM PST 28 Aug 2009
Thats a shame, but good ideas Asdruabel, i reckon you got a good enough argument, but don't worry, it won't be long till the next expansion and new class and race combinations, such as the ancient lost cult of... TAUREN ROGUES!!! :D Max Krist (talk) 11:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
If Blizz had any sense, they'd give draenei a new class just to spite everyone who's trolling, flaming, and telling us that it serves us right for liking draenei.

Also, their excuses are flimsy. Between this, goblins, worgen, and the alleged Horde "political troubles"...I can't help but think that the entire dev team is drunk.

(P.S.: It oughtta be druid.  They're magically-inclined and have some acceptance of syncretism; those Lost Ones in Zangarmarsh indicate that the race isn't incapable; and there is, of course, their proximity to the night elves and furbolgs.  Plus, the feral forms would be epic.)

Syncretism: the attempted reconciliation or union of different or opposing principles, practices, or parties, as in philosophy or religion.
Uhhh... well, it couldn't be worse than blood elf paladins. Winky --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 6:25 PM PST 31 Aug 2009
I would like to point out that since Draenei have hooves they can't make logical rogues and they would never resort to being warlocks considering the Man'ari eredar. Draenei becoming druids would make for some interesting lore, but gameplay-wise it would make the the druid race numbers uneven for both sides.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 02:34, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
Draenei not wanting to go down the path of their accursed breathren? Did I here somebody say... NIGHT ELF MAGE???!!! But seriously, nelfs have caved into allowing mages, it won't be long before Draenei cave into allowing warlocks, perhaps eredar who have left the Burning Legion? (if its possible to leave...) Max Krist (talk) 11:27, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
Could a Draenei warlock even be considered a real Draenei? I believe that would make them Man'ari in terms of racial identity.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 12:28, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
The hoof argument is actually relatively weak; hooves can be muffled.  However, tauren players already fume at the very idea.  Seeing as there might also be cultural concerns, that one might be better left avoided.

But as for druids?  Temporarily imbalancing the ratio could actually be a good thing, in terms of spurring the faction conflict.  Hamuul might get worried that the Alliance was subverting the Cenarion Circle.
