You know, like the Marine Corps. fireteam-motto "Ready-Team-Fire-Assist?"

I look at the basic party formation of Tank/DPSer/Nuker/Healer, and I think of a military fireteam. Both use fire and maneuver tactics, in that two take point while the other two provides either cover-fire or healing. The physical-classes (Warrior, Paladin, Rogue, and Hunter) are to the Team-Leader and Rifleman, respectively, in that they're the close-quarters experts. Meanwhile, the magical-classes (Mage, Warlock, Priest, and Shaman) are to the Grenadier and Auto-Rifleman, in that they provide either cover-fire or vital-supplies.

So why don't they use military-terms instead of MMORPG-terms, when both sets of terms are almost the same in that they're combat-related?--Dan Venetsky (talk) 22:14, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

Ummm... its an MMO and not the military? Seems obvious to me. Also, are we talking U.S. military terms or global military terms? --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 22 Mar 2011 9:29 AM Pacific

A little bit of both U.S. and global military terms.--Dan Venetsky (talk) 17:56, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
