Frost Warding is a mage talent that increases the armor and resistance given by the Frost Armor and Ice Armor spells by 15% per rank, up to 30% at max rank 2. In addition, it gives Frost Ward a 10% chance per rank, up to 20% at max rank 2, to reflect Frost spells and effects while active. This talent is mainly used in frost-based PvP specs, and even then it is not very popular when compared to other talents available.
The reflection chance is similar to Improved Fire Ward, which gives Fire Ward a chance to reflect Fire spells. Along with Arcane Fortitude, this is one of two mage talents that will increase armor, though this talent only does so when Ice Armor or Frost Armor is used.
