This drops from Lord Ahune in the Slave Pens during the Midsummer Fire Festival, which occurs only once every year during the summer. The scythe is akin to Murmur's [Shockwave Truncheon], Thunderaan's [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] and Ragnaros' [Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros], all weapons held by powerful or ranking elementals.
It has a hidden use effect, like the Horseman's Helm from the Headless Horseman. Using it causes snow to fall around your character.
