This glyph causes the Death Knight Pestilence ability to refresh the duration of diseases on its' primary target before spreading them to the secondary targets. This saves the runes normally required for Plague Strike and Icy Touch, allowing an additional Obliterate, Scourge Strike, or Death Strike.

Removal in Cataclysm Edit

This glyph was a core part of Frost DPS death knight rotations and was also seen in some Blood or Unholy specs; drastically changing each spec's rotation when it was applied. [Festering Strike] may compensate somewhat if it is incorporated correctly into a rotation.
