Glyph of Living Bomb

Glyph of Living Bomb allows the periodic damage from Living Bomb to critically strike, each tick having its own independent chance. Extensive theorycraft has shown it to be the best Glyph for a raiding Fire Mage from a pure DPS standpoint.

Mechanics

• Testing^[1] indicates that periodic damage crits from Living Bomb work like usual spell critical strikes (meaning they are 150% crits) and are affected by the Chaotic Skyflare Diamond, the 4-piece effect from Mage T7, Burnout, Ignite, but no longer eat Combustion charges.
• The Glyph's crit chance is not affected by World in Flames, and the crits do not interact at all with Master of Elements.
• As of Patch 3.2, crits will proc Ignite. Hot Streak procing on periodic Living Bomb damage was live with 3.2, but quickly hotfixed ^[2].

Patch changes

• Hotfix (2009-08-06): "Hot Streak triggers exactly as stated in its tooltip: “2 non-periodic spell criticals in a row using Fireball, Fire Blast, Scorch, Living Bomb, or Frostfire Bolt”. Only non-periodic damage interacts with it, and only those spells listed. Periodics do not affect the streak in any way. Direct damage from the listed spells always count, for or against the streak."
