Patch changes[]
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now uses Ink of Dreams instead of [Ink of the Sea]. No longer discovered through [Northrend Inscription Research]. Required skill level increased.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Redesigned as a Major Glyph. Now allows Shadow Word: Death to be used at any time, but it deals reduced damage to targets above 20% health and deals an equal amount of damage to you. Existing glyphs prior to the patch were converted to Glyph of Mind Blast.
- Hotfix (2010-11-24): The Glyph of Shadow Word: Death no longer provides the outdated 10% bonus damage to targets under 25% health when Shadow Word: Death is cast.
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): No longer deals extra damage to targets below 35% health. Now resets the cooldown if the target survives. Changed from Major Glyph to Prime Glyph.
- Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Added.
