Gnomish Lightning Generator is crafted by Engineers with a skill level of 425 or greater, and is taught by all Grand Master Engineers in the Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord and Dalaran.

Tips
- The GLG has a 30 yard range and a 1 second cast time. As stated in the tooltip, it also has a 1 minute cooldown.
- Creation of this trinket is 15 seconds.
- As a Trinket, the GLG does not use the Global cooldown
- This device is considered to be the new version of the Gnomish Death Ray.
- The damage is able to Crit.
- This device is not, in fact, safe.
- The GLG is usable while moving.
Notes
Patch 3.1.0 (14-Apr-2009): Now has passive critical strike rating. The damage from the activated effect has been reduced. No longer has a cast time. Now invokes a 10-second DPS burst item category cooldown.
