History
Arbiters of Light was established in February of 2008 by Dantec and Elainah. After establishing a website and forums the guild began openly recruiting new members.
Guild Events
Arbiters of Light hosts regular guild events, usually on a monthly basis, for its members. These are generally submitted and voted on by the guild via their forums. One of the most notable events was their April Fool's day event, a 300 themed raid on Hogger which lead to the short film 14 being created.
Guild Policies
- Acceptance into the Guild
- In order to create an atmosphere that perpetuates integrity, maturity, and overall comfort in the guild, some guidelines are in place to help separate hopeful applicants from potential "bad apples".
- Applicants must be over the age of 18.
- An age limit is in place to ensure that maturity is maintained within the guild and it's various channels of communication. This rule is strictly enforced for the most part, however exceptions can be made if players present themselves in a mature manner and make an impression on guild leadership. Exceptions are also granted for children of members so long as it is understood the parents are held accountable to the child's behavior.
- Applicants must have read and understood the guild policies.
- Guild policies are enforced to ensure that a sense of order is held within the guild. Failure to adhere to the guild policies not only reflects poorly upon the member, but also the guild as a whole, and can result in expulsion from Arbiters of Light.
- Applicants are invited into the guild on a temporary status.
- New members enter the guild at the rank of Potential, this is a temporary or "initiate" rank. This process is in place to allow the guild to further assess the new member, and also to allow the new member to get a feel for the guild. After a short period, generally one week, the member is either removed from the guild or accepted as a full member at the rank of Arbiter.
- Guild Bank
- The guild bank is maintained for the benefit of Arbiters of Light and its members. Members are to adhere the policies listed here as well as their own ethics while taking advantage of withdrawal privileges. While it would be impossible for the guild leadership to monitor every use of items from the guild bank, measures are taken to ensure that members do not abuse the rights they have been granted. Failure to follow the below procedures can, and in all likelihood will, result in immediate expulsion from the guild. For detailed bank policies visit this page.
