About the guild

Awakening is a guild that has existed (in one form or another) since the beginning of the server.

It started as a merger between the PvE-focused guild Beyond, and the heavy PvP guild Blood of the Ancients, and has since grown to become the premier raiding guild on Lightninghoof. The name "Awakening" was put on the table by Ketsumi, a PvP player from Blood of the Ancients who was known as one of the best warriors on lightninghoof, and one of the few who stood against Juggernaut in the race for rank 14. It has always wanted to be a guild for those who enjoy all aspects of the game, and unlike some other hardcore raiding guilds, Awakening is out in the battlegrounds after our raids, and have even been known to run some RP events for fun.

The guild was run primarily by Porom for the progression until he took a leave of absence in the Summer of 2006, and Tearian has been running the guild since then. The guild emphasizes being run not only by the leader, but by the officers from each class as well, in order to provide a balanced, effective structure for all its members.

While Lightninghoof is a relatively new server, Awakening takes pride in the speed of their progression, and are catching up on the older, more established raiding guilds very quickly...
