Awry of Cenarius (PVE, Pacific) is essentially the "Horde chapter" of Avowry. Awry was originally founded to allow Avowry members to experience Horde content, and as a reaction to the percieved population imbalance on the Cenarius Realm. Awry was founded in early 2005. From mid-2005 through mid-2006 Awry gained many new members and allied with the Forty Million Daggers raiding coalition (but not considered an 'active' guild in 40md due to Awry being able to raid on its own in the new 25 man dungeons). In the spring and summer of 2006 Awry created two additional chapters, Awry of Drak'thul (PVP, Central) and Awry of Steamwheedle Cartel (RP, Eastern). The Drak'thul chapter of Awry was created to allow Awry players to play in an environment more encouraging of PVP and less focused on end-game raiding. The Steamwheedle Cartel chapter of Awry was created to allow Avowry and Awry members an Avowry/Awry-like environment for Horde role-playing.
Each of the chapters of Awry still share Web space with Avowry at http://www.avowry.com/, though Awry has recently created its own Web site and forums, located here: http://www.awryguild.org/.
Progression-wise Awry has completely cleared all Tier 4 and Tier 5 content, and is 4/5 Battle for Mount Hyjal and 3/9 in Black Temple, downing Najentus, Supremus and Shade of Akama.
It can be stated that Awry started as a "guild of alts". Awry has since taken on many members who have no history with Avowry. In any case Awry still shares a code of conduct and motto with Avowry: be an advocate for what is right.
