Band of Thorns
Band of Thorns is a Perenolde raiding guild known for its insular reputation and dominance in endgame dungeons such as Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and Ahn'Qiraj as well as its large presence in PVP, as demonstrated by multiple High Warlords.
History
- Band of Thorns came to being after a server transfer from Doomhammer to Perenolde in August, 2005.
- From there, they quickly downed Ragnaros within a month's time and moved to Blackwing Lair.
- After downing Broodlord Lashlayer, the guild created the server's first Thunderfury.
- By January, the guild had defeated Nefarian, second on the server.
- Band of Thorns finished the Scepter of Shifting Sands in order to open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj with the help of many of the Horde guilds on Perenolde.
- After progressing through Ahn'Qiraj, killing up to the Twin Emperors, Band of Thorns succumbed to the guild killing instance and quit raiding.
Burning Crusade
With the release of the Burning Crusade, Band of Thorns again built itself up into an endgame raiding guild.
