This article is a a group of guilds information page

The contents herein are entirely player made and in no way represent official World of Warcraft history or occurrences which are accurate for all realms. The characters and events listed are of an independent nature and applied for roleplaying, fictional, speculative, or opinions from a limited playerbase only. Guild pages must comply with the guild page policy.

This is marked as a Group of Guilds since the guild exists on multiple factions and soon possibly multiple servers but still working together for a common goal with some out of game common events.

Mission Statement

Making Disciples of Jesus (Mat 28:19) throughout Azuroth, focusing on the Bible, while having Christian fellowship,
developing a close community and enjoying the game together with people from all playing styles (PvP, Raiding, Casual).

Guild Charter

The main focus of our guild is to bring people closer to God, making them Disciples of Jesus so they can be an influence on other people, in game and in Real Life. You do not have to be a Christian to join, but you must expect that there will be Christian conversations and Bible reading in public chat. Even though we will all strive to have fun in game and progress to the end game, our main purpose will be encouraging and training in Discipleship through the reading of the Word of God, and in Christian fellowship.

Our guild is focused mainly for Christians, having Fellowship and encouraging / training in Discipleship. Because this alone is already pretty limiting on what players will want to join our guild we will try to include all play styles, from Hardcore PvPers, end game Raiding, to casual players. We try to accomplish this by assigning someone to be in charge of organizing events for each playing style. This way, if you want to do all PvP you will have a group of others that will join you and the person leading that group will only be focused on PvPing and not worrying about other things in the guild. If you are a casual player, there is no penalty for not Raiding or PvPing often, someone else will be in charge of setting up different events to trying to make the game fun for everyone, while still providing the same Christian fellowship.

Vision

To be a close guild of about 50 active members (in game and on forum) that are continuously growing closer to Christ and being a light in the virtual world of World of Warcraft by spreading the gospel message, to be a guild that radically changes lives to repent and turn towards the cross and carry that cross daily in their real life as well as online.

Values

Christ first, through the reading of the Bible, Neighbors second, through helping in times of need and giving a caring shoulder to lean on, and ourselves last, may we be selfless, dying to ourselves and living for Christ.

Events

A full list of events can be seen on our Calendar [1]

We currently have Bible Studies every other Monday Night in the in game guild chat.

News

28 July 2008

The Horde side of the guild was put to sleep for a while due to lack of leadership. However, the Alliance side is growing stronger by the day. We are still looking to fill all of our officer positions on the Alliance side and if someone we know wants to take over the leadership of the Horde guild they are still free to do so. We have moved our Bible studies to in game chat because it is more reliable and more people know how to participate.

Our newest officers are: Bible Officer: Suraiya Event Organizer: Junkyarddog

- Zelwindran

FAQ

1) What's with your guild name?

Our guild name comes from several Bible passages concerning Jesus informing His followers to take up their cross and follow Him. Matthew 10:38-39, Matthew 16:24-27, Matthew 8:34-38

2) Why have a Christian guild in a non-Christian video game?

Most people laugh at the idea of a Christian guild, or that it's a stupid idea. The purpose behind having a Christian guild is for two primary reasons.

a) Jesus tells us to make disciples of men in all nations as we go through life.(Matthew 28:19). The word "Go" in the original language is a passive word, so it could be better read "In your going" or "As you go". So as we go about our daily lives, we are to be making disciples of all nations. Danae and I just decided to apply the same principle to our on-line life as well. So as we go about in the world of Azuroth we will be trying to make disciples for Christ.

b) We (my wife Yavannamire and I, Zillatha) wanted to be able to play the game with a group of people that are fun, not profane, and could talk about Biblical things while playing the game.

3) What are your Christian (or "religious") beliefs?

See our Beliefs Page [4] for the full list
