Alliance CrestClockwerk is an Alliance RP guild with members dedicated to treating other players with respect and supporting the roleplaying community at large. We are casual roleplay, where players are free to pursue their character's stories as they see fit (as long as it's not lorebreaking), and the guild as a whole does not follow an overarching plot. It is a safe haven for roleplayers who want to enjoy all aspects of the game, be it questing, PvP, and/or raiding/instances. We also hope to form alliances with other likeminded guilds to pursue these different aspects as well.

Before applying to the guild or speaking to one of our officers about joining, it is strongly advised that prospective members visit our web site and become familiar with the policies and expectations of the guild. Clockwerk abides by the naming procedures and will not admit characters that are in gross violation of the naming conventions. There is zero tolerance for disruptive behavior, griefing and harassment. Guild chat is out of character.

History

With a name inspired by The Clockwerk Run of Gnomeregan, this guild was formed on Sisters of Elune in June of 2009. Clockwerk has joined with the Western Alliance group of roleplaying guilds to enhance our capabilities of bringing more roleplay to the server.

We have established a weekly open roleplay event called "Inspection Tours," every Monday at 7:30 pm ST. This is best described as an improvisational roleplay event where we pick a location (usually a town) to walk around and inspect for safety hazards. Not only is it a chance for roleplay, but it allows players to examine the detail that Blizzard designers have put into the game. Our calendar for tour dates is listed on the official forums.

As mentioned before, Clockwerk does not prohibit its players from enjoying other aspects of the game, such as raiding. We are not an RP/Raiding guild. We've tried, but many of our players have come to us to leave the raiding scene behind. Clockwerk did successfully complete a run of OS 10 on October 11, 2009.

Web Site and Application Process

The Clockwerk web site offers detailed information about our policies, character expectations, and member application. Our current recruitment needs are selective, and potential applicants should either have a sponsor in the guild or fill out an application on the site.
