Flames of War is an alliance social guild (vs end-game or PVP) which focuses on making friends, sharing resources, leveling, and having fun. FoW welcomes everyone including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited and heterosexual players. It currently has several guild banks, tabard, and website with members-only forums.
FoW recognizes that World of Warcraft can contain a lot of homophobia & transphobia in the forms of slurs and slangs ("that's so gay"), stereotypes, being kicked from groups or guilds, harassment, and more. Sometimes this makes LGBTQ people's experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming, and can inhibit connection to and friendship with other gamers. Since FoW is a purely social guild, the environment and way members relate is important.[1]
