Overview

For Horde is a casual PvE guild with around 150 members that share a common goal of having fun. Our main goal is to see content of all kinds offered, be they raids of various sizes, PvP, and RP. We do recruit new members, but have high expectations of class balance, attitude, maturity, and experience. If you are interested in joining more information on that can be found in this link or you can contact the following people in game: Kinron or Peste.

We currently use a Zero Sum DKP system for most loot determinations and are always actively trying to make the process as fair as possible for all that raid.

History

For Horde rose from the ashes of the once great phoenix Divine Dominance. Divine Dominance was one of the top rated PvP guilds on Argent Dawn, young but full of talent and drive. They were one of, if not the first and only, guild to push two High Warlords simultaneously (Erkan, a shaman, and Grimnazgul, a warrior, achieved HWL the same week). When the guild leader Pariyah decided to step out of World of Warcraft to focus on her family she handed leadership over to the lovable Boom.

Boom tried to hold the guild together, but it wasn't long before he saw that the members of Divine Dominance were suffering at the loss of their spirited and determined guild leader.

A few weeks later he gathered the guild together on vent and spoke to them of his plans for the future. He had a vision and an idea for a new guild which he would be creating and leading with complete power. Where there were no officers or separation of power, everyone was equal. Instead of officers there were "employees". People who would work for the guild, for the good of the guild, and be subject to the will of the guild (and Boom). A guild that worked towards improving the playtime of it's members and all those they interacted with regardless of faction.

This was what Boom was going to be doing, and he was extending invites to members of Divine Dominance, but at no point required any to join. Boom expected to hear crickets over vent as he finished explaining what he wanted to do...

Instead he heard a resounding "FOR HORDE!" both across vent and throughout Orgrimmar.

For Horde suffered a major hit during the free transfer time off of Argent Dawn before the launch of The Burning Crusade, losing one of it's Main Tanks and a good number of friends and guild mates to less populated server(s) (We love and miss you guys!). Since then For Horde has recovered and grown substantially due in no small part by the great support of the Argent Dawn community and has become one of the top 10 Horde guilds on AD according to WoWJutsu.

With the creation of For Horde the members refocused primarily towards PvE content instead of PvP, while major PvPers still held membership and ran on a regular basis. The guild presses content at it's own rate, helping to insure that as many members get to see it as possible. As a casual guild who emphasizes playing however it you enjoy, we do not force specs or playstyles.

Weekly Raid Schedule

For Horde's raiding schedule is based on "Teams" of members who set play times based on the availability of the members of those teams and the content they are tackeling.

Code of Conduct

For Horde prides itself on it's upstanding reputation as talented and mature players who focus on improving the experience of World of Warcraft, rather than creating drama, fights, flames, etc.

For Horde does not tolerate obscenity in any public forum which includes both guild chat and voice chat. Tells and Party chat are accepted as long as the recipients are not offended.

For Horde functions on the idea of respect for both yourself, others, and the guild tag. Do not do anything that would tarnish your guild tag, or else it may be removed from you.

In general I like to refer to the ideology of For Horde as "Don't be a douche."

Interesting Notes

-The guild name is "For Horde" the "f" in the guild name is only lowercase on the tags below player's heads so as to read the character's name "for Horde". Ex: "Peste for Horde"

-The guild name does not include the "the" in "For the Horde!" because Boom (the character, not the player) is rather dumb... and doesn't speak too well.

-Boom's mom is a rabbit.

-Boom momentarily lost leadership of For Horde to the paladin Ulysses, brother of Erkan (or IS he?!), after a bet on whether or not he could climb the statue in Karazhan in 10 seconds.... Boom was promptly /gkicked by Ulysses.

-The mighty paladin Trezpan was briefly a member of For Horde until Peste /gkicked him 15 minutes after his arrival due to an incident about flaming grandmothers.... much to the bewilderment of the guild... and the laughter of Peste and Trezpan.

-Peste did, in fact, steal the layout of this wiki from good friends Brotherhood of the Blade.

-For Horde has the only known documented Virish in all of the world. These being, of course, hybrids of the Irish and Vikings...

-For Horde is over run by Canadians... eh!

-For Horde's official political designation is a "Boomtatorship"

-Raid Leader Kayil's shyness and quiet over vent is believed to be contributed to by the priest Ryzorian's "Ego Vampirism", an ability which allows him to feed on the self confidence of others in order to fuel his own Super Ego, which has been proven to increase his +healing by 400%.

-For Horde is so cool people have left the Alliance to come play in our green text. True Story.

-For Horde's MT is the author of an often quoted and referenced poem.

-For Horde was the first Horde guild on AD to successfully take all the towers in EPL when the PvP objectives were first introduced. No small feet considering the vast numbers of the Alliance.
