If in doubt AFK out

'If in doubt AFK out' are a horde raiding guild on the Silvermoon EU server.

History of AFK from the mouth of The Hoof

The AFK'ers started off as a comedy twink pvp guild that Hoofit (on Hardtimes) set up at a time that Hoofit was still in Infernity (a twin emperors killing guild on alliance) when things weren't going so well with infernity.

A few horde alts of people in Infernity(notably K to the B) and a few horde alts of people from the guild Shade (including scarab lord Anlorian and MS warrior of doom Broly) were in the initial make up as well as silvermoon's finest horde warrior to reroll alliance (no not Abbandon !) Abaddon.

We took a few people in as we reached exalted with the bg's before level 40 mainly alliance alts with the very honorable exceptions of Lianara and Shunt. Infernity collapsed as a viable high end raiding guild, though they did keep together not splitting for a few months after they had stopped raiding.

A few people from Reign of Blood put their alts in AFK (people like wahabi, wickerman, myzan etc) and at about the same time the dungeoneers a MC farming guild that hoof helped raid split into three in an event that there is still bitterness about - a guild called scum and villiany, animosity (led by Kreep) and the dungeoneers. The people in scum and villainy were mainly made up of the Hoof's and Gorthaal's real life friends and they in the main joined AFK making scum and villainy a short lived guild.

Praetorians (Horde's number 1 raiding guild, a Naxxramas raiding guild) that Hoof had been in but left split into two Brute force and Usual suspects with the more hardcore elements going to US and the more casual going to BF. A few foolhardy souls decided to not join these two and instead joined the AFK'ers.

About this time AFK became a raiding guild albeit a 20 man raiding guild, it was tough in those days, other horde guilds threatened to swallow up the AFK'ers and indeed we did lose one or two people to other guilds. Reign in Blood provided members to join our raids in the early days and we probably owe them our existence as a raiding guild. We started to do 20 man raids on our own behalf and with people that were in the coalition (which was an organisation of BWL clearing guilds) and in the later days of pre TBC did joint runs to MC and even starred as guests in BWL runs.

Hoofit and KB decided not to even try to do 40 mans on our own but instead work on a solid foundation for TBC raiding structuring the guild to do 25 man's.

When TBC came out we started to level the people to 70 and get ready for kara, we watched as Usual Suspects took Kara by storm and Turncoats weren't far behind with Brute Force and Reign in Blood in the mix. We wanted to be a part of that and indeed soon after started in kara with a gusto, with AFK taking on a few x-realm transfers before and during our kara progress.

Bosses fell like kb on a Friday night and we eventually caught and overhauled Brute Force and Reign in Blood. Reign in Blood had been having problems and a fair few split to join AFK including myzan, razorback, wahabi, wicker etc etc. We downed high king maulgar and two weeks or so after Usual Suspects disbanded and a few joined AFK from them.
