This article is a guild information page for Oblivion Legion of Dark Iron US

The contents herein are entirely player made and in no way represent official World of Warcraft history or occurrences which are accurate for all realms. The characters and events listed are of an independent nature and applied for roleplaying, fictional, speculative, or opinions from a limited playerbase only. Guild pages must comply with the guild page policy.

Founded in January 2007 by Rageik, although hectic at times, the Oblivion Legion tries to maintain a "Laid Back" atmosphere while at the same time focusing on the development of outstanding PvP players and helping each other achieve their goals. The Oblivion Legion is NOT a Member of The Penny Arcade Alliance, but we strictly follow the philosophy of “If it’s Red, It’s Dead” towards any Horde Guild. We consider ourselves a PvP Guild, however Instance Raids do occur at times.

Guild Ranks

Squire- Up and Coming Soldiers.

Solder- Official Members of The Oblivion Legion, or current Members Alternate Characters (See Guildlines)

Initiate- Probationary Members that are watched to see if they have the attitude we are looking for in our Official Members.

Guidelines and rules

The Following are Guidelines adapted by the Leadership of The Oblivion Legion:

Rank guidelines

High Consort Nominations and Elections:

Two Nominees for High Consort are taken from The Oblivion Guard during a 1 week vote; highest 2 are allowed to run for election if they thus choose to. Then the two nominees, along w/ the past High Consort, are put to a 1 week vote by all OFFICIAL Guild Members. The winner will serve as "High Consort" for a three month term. Upon that time the process is repeated. Typical elections will occur in September, December, March, and June. Should The High Consort leave or get expelled from The Guild, Rageik will nominate two Oblivion Guard Members and send them to a vote from just the Nobles for completion of the term. The High Consort has NO additional privileges as the other Nobles and is regarded as their equal.

Oblivion Guard Requirements:

The Oblivion Guard is The Army of The Oblivion Legion. Thus, the requirement to join is a character level of 60 or above, and it could increase do to the possibility of further game expansions. The requirement is 60 or more is because of The OG (Oblivion Guard) main duty, being to do WHATEVER, WHENEVER, they are needed. They can only be called to duty/assigned by Rageik, or The High Noble and exceptions to the WHATEVER, WHENEVER rule is if the OG Member is AFK, in a PvP Battleground, or in a Instance. Some examples of assignments are:

-Help a fellow Member w/ a quest

-Protect a fellow Member from Horde attacks

-Escort a fellow Member from point A to B

Along with anything else deemed to help the Guild. Failure to report to an assignment WILL result to loss of this rank! To be considered for a open Noble position, or to be nominated for High Consort, you must serve in the Oblivion Guard.

Soldiers and Alternate Characters:

Members of The Guild that wish to have a Alternate Character in The Guild are allowed to as long as all of the following Guidlines are met:

-Are a Official Member (Soldier and Up)

-There Main is above Character level 50

Members are only allowed to have one Alternate Character in The Oblivion Legion at any given time. Alternate Character are still subject to the 14 Day Rule!

Recruitment rules

As far as the privilege of inviting new Initiates, Knights and above are the only Members allowed to. IF ANYONE WANTS TO JOIN THE GUILD, AND CANNOT CONTACT A KNIGHT PLEASE PST OR INGAME MAIL THE FOLLOWING TO RAGEIK:

-Character Level

-Character Class

-Character Professions

-Any other reason that would make you a good recruit

We do not recruit on basis of level, however we ask the level of your character to prevent twink characters from being recruited into the guild. The Oblivion Legion is NOT a twink Guild! In addition, only the most polite, friendly and helpful Initiates will become Official Guild Members or Soldiers of The Oblivion Legion!

Guild expulsion

The Following are reasons for Expulsion from The Oblivion Legion:

-Poor Attitude

-Begging/whining for run-throughs

-Being a "Ninja" and not appropriately rolling for loot

-Argueing in Guild Chat, if you have a issue with a fellow Guild Member, ask a Noble to mediate a discussion in a private group, not in public Guild Chat

-Abuse of your Guild Bank priveleges

-Other Misc. gross misconduct

-The 14 Day Rule: This is the Guilds Activity rule, it states:

"If you are going to be AFK for 14 days or more you will get booted from the Guild, unless you ingame mail Rageik and let him know why/how long you will be AFK. You can go AFK for any reason, camp, work, school, or even a World of Warcraft break, the courtesy of letting Rageik know you will be AFK will keep your spot safe in the Guild."
