Overview

History

PMP was created on 2 april 2008.

Practice Makes Purple has evolved out of the raiding-cooperation between longlasting Shattered Hand guilds Belgian Guards of Honor and The Dark Council. Having met with several restrictions that hampered the progress of the cooperation (people quitting or turning more towards casual gaming/IRL, thinner Dutch recruiting base, ...), the progress-oriented cores of both guilds decided to start a new guild, aiming towards hardcore PvE progress in an international structure.

Recruitment

We are looking for motivated and mature players to join us in conquering World of Warcraft's PvE content upwards from Mount Hyjal. As our guild is international, we therefore require you to be fluent enough in the English language to write/speak and understand communication in said language on chat and/or Vent. Our aim is to make a speedy and decent progress in WoW's PvE content, and therefore we require recruits to have the following aspects:

  • Full PvE-orientated epic gear, preferrably better than Karazhan gear (PvP-epics are for the most part and for most of the classes useless, so they do not count);
  • Experience and skills needed for a progressive PvE raiding environment;
  • A mind set on progress and helping your fellow players achieving it, meaning a willingness to farm consumables, earn gold for repairs, fully enchant/socket your gear, grind needed reputation, do required attunement-quests, respec when needed and able, etc.;
  • Open mind when it comes to criticism, both giving and receiving - you have to want to get better both gearwise and skillwise, and you have to want to help your fellow players doing the same;
  • Ability and willingness to achieve a high attendancy (>70%) on our raids, which will be held Monday, Wednesday,Thursday and Sunday, from 19:15 pm till 23:00 pm (sometimes longer if we are very close to downing a boss);
  • A good internet connection and dito computer;
  • Most importantly, all of this in a context of a mature attitude towards your guild, your fellow guildies, and progress-oriented gaming in general: by this we mean no crying, no whining, no picking on people, no impoliteness, no condescending attitude, etc.

If you are not able or willing to adhere to all of the above aspects, then do not bother applying - however, if you think you have what it takes but lack somewhat in the gear-department, then that is not such a big problem as gear is easily improved.

For all of you interested in joining, visit us at our guild website , read the recruitment "how to..." and fill out a form!
