Red Dawn Rising was created on a dark and stormy night when Enudin, a paladin who was well known for his habit of writing text in a script much like that of a 12 year old girl on AOL, got bored and decided to create his own guild. He figured that his own guild would allow him to try out some of those nifty commie ideas he had read about in his school books. He summoned a council of all that was evil, ungodly and deviate... then got them to sign his charter and design a bitching tabard. The name came from a mixture of sources, though some say that he thought it up one morning as he watched the red sun rise as he awoke on a park bench after a long night of drinking.
Red Dawn Rising is casual guild on the Gilneas US server who has had great success in end game raiding. Skill and humour meet up and create a fun and social atmosphere where friends can enjoy the tedious and soul killing grind that is World of Warcraft. Currently raiding Black Wing Lair and Temple of Ahn'Quiraj with frequency and steadily progressing onward, Red Dawn Rising has become a respected guild.
They also throw the best parties.

Recent Accomplishments
As of May 1st 2008 Red Dawn Rising disbanded as a 25 man raiding guild. The reason behind this decision was not because of internal guild conflict which kills many guilds, but rather because of a change of the mindset of the core members of the guild Real life was taking over and rather than going on a recruitment binge that would leave the guild with a very different core and attitude the guild instead ended its 25 man raiding. Those still interested in raiding 25 man content were given a choice to leave the guild with no hard feelings and with best wishes.
It was a sad day for core RDR members and member Anthropology came forward with a touching video for all members to remember their time by.

Wednesday Oct. 11 2006, downed Battleguard Sartura and Fankriss the Unyielding.
Wednesday Sept. 27 2006, downed The Prophet Skeram.
Karazhan has become the new gear up zone for RDR, as it has been complete by not only the mains of the guild but alts as well.
As of Wednesday September 20th, Red Dawn Rising has completed Blackwing Lair. Grats to all that have been helping in the grind. It took little over 2 and a half months from the first boss kill in BWL to the downing of Nef.
Now Red Dawn Rising is making significant progress into AQ40. The first 4 bosses have all fallen under the boots of the mighty RDRers, and the guild is currently working on the Twin Emperors.
AQ20 also recently joined the ranks of being finished.
