History
Once apon a time there was this guy in Holland named Joey, and he loved the game Warcraft 3 very much. His brother in law Jelle also played this game a lot. When the makers of Warcraft 3 announced a new game based on the Warcraft story, but in the form of a massive multiplayer online role playing game, Joey bought it almost instantly to see what it was like. Jelle however was a bit sceptical about the payment per month stuff to play the game, but as soon as he saw it, he wanted to play it right away... becoming instantly hooked as well.
Joey changed his name to Greasy the warrior, Jelle changed his name to Borax the hunter. Together they noobed around a bit... saving money to buy weapons from vendors... using hunters as melee class and finding out about talents at lvl 20
After Borax having reached like level 35 (and finding out the existance of AH ) he met this female druid called Freya who asked him to join her guild called Shadow Force. Still doubting the use of a guild, Borax joined it and Greasy followed soon after. Being in a guild helped a lot gaining experience in playing the game. After having reached lvl 60 we started doing real parties and raids. Under the leadership of some guy from Righteous called Malkreth we started doing more 10 men content (UBRS at that time). soon after this resulted in our first 40 men raid group to enter Molten Core.
After Shadow Force crashed due to getting to big, Borax, Freya and Malkreth founded a new guild called Exclusive, which kept on going where Shadow Force left off: raiding MC. Together with other guilds like Ragnarok, some other guild I forgot the name off and The Awakened Path we continued in MC clearing half of it. Around this time Borax's sister Anne got curious about the game as well and wanted to start playing it as well. After getting a taste of it with a horde char on Borax's account (afraid of going off the road in the barrens) she bought her own account, upgraded her own computer and changed her name in Prutsalot for good, a Paladin.... she joined Exclusive as well, but due to some fucktart from the UK, that guild failed and most of us joined Chronicles of Chaos.
Chronicles of Chaos was a succes in the pre TBC days. The skilled group of people cleared MC and BWL in no time, as well as going far into AQ40 up to C'thun. We stayed in that guild for over a year in which we made a lot of friends on Aszune. At some point, Greasy's wife (Borax's sister, if you are still following me), called Els, got curious about the stupid game also and changed her name to Sylmarwen the Priest. Around this time Prutsalot and Malkreth were having a bit too much fun in BWL raids... dispite of Malkreth coming from Sweden and Prutsalot from Holland.... hmmmm..... around the same time, Borax fell in love with a girl from outer town, and couldn't join as much raids anymore as he used to join. Unfortunately also, due to the stress of the upcoming TBC release, some of the hardcore primary raidgroup members split from CoC founding their own hardcore guild called Prometheus.
Being good friends with the guys that wanted to split from CoC, Borax, Prutsalot, Greasy (and his alt Tristanija), Malkreth and Sylmarwen joined Prometheus also. Borax's girlfriend also started playing the game and changed her name to Snowflame the Warlock. At this time also, Prutsalot's and Malkreht's love for eachother was made official and Prutsalot even moved to Sweden to hug the strong bear irl.
The happy WoW-family didn't have as much time to raid as the other members in Prometheus (having babies, work and social lives) and due to the lack of progress in raids, Prometheus officers asked casual players to leave this guild, which included us and some other's that couldn't raid as much anymore.... all in a friendly manner.
Being guildless, Sticker (a befriended hunter which we raided a lot with in CoC and Prometheus) invited us to his little guild called The Pathfinders Guild, which he still had active on one of his alts... just to keep us from being spam /ginvited by guilds like <WE EAT HORDE> and <OMG WE RULE BG>. More casuals joined this guild untill the point we actually had quite an active guild, able to do some Karazhan raids. The more not-casual players even killed the prince at some point. Unfortunately, this succes couldn't be maintained, which caused some stress in the guild, resulting in Prutsalot and Malkreth leaving. More people left and Malkreth and Prutsalot founded their own guild for their alts, also to keep others from spam inviting them to their guilds. They called it Reverie, meaning "dream".
The Pathfinders guild got more and more boring, so boring that at one point, one of borax's alts joined Reverie. Soon the rest of the family joined as well. Also a Nephew of the WoW-family, Called Niek, changed his name to Beowul (paladin) and joined Reverie as well. Faraya (the one with the gazillion and one accounts) joined Reverie as well to have a place to stay.
Now we are at the point that we can do some 5 men content both normal and heroics. Having all this experience we can clear 5-men stuff without a hassle and being family, we never have any discussions of fights going on during these parties. When we are able to invite more people we'll probably be able to get back at doing karazhan again.
Guild Vision
Reverie now mostly consists of ex-hardcore raiders with good raiding skills. They brought their friends, girlfriends and family in too. Most people got lvl 70 alts of different classes, this way we can do some heroics when we like to. We will always have the right classes available with the amount of alts.
In our guild, the individual is always more important than our progress in game contents. We are a casual guild in which all members know eachother very well and always have fun at playing the game, even in raids. While online we always have some good chats in /g and other channels.
Recruitment
Due to the sociality factor of our guild, we mostly only invite old friends or known people from real life or in game. However, if you think you qualify to the above description and think you would fit very well in our guild, don't hesitate to leave an application on our forum. Go to The application Forum. Don't expect awesome end-game content and phat lewts though... just some good times online :-)
Raiding & Progress
We do 5 men normal and heroic instances whenever we can get a party complete. This isn't very hard to accomplish because, thanks to our member's long history on the Aszune server, we know a lot of people outside our guild which we can always ask for help.
