Dawn of Unity was the "sister" guild of RoU. Alts of Unity is the "alts" guild of RoU.
History
Crown of Unity
Formed in the fall of 2005 as a "casual raiding" guild, Crown of Unity broke apart fairly soon. Virtually all of its members are now in Rise of Unity, the guild which formed around one of the two co-GMs of Crown.
Shortly before the release of The Burning Crusade, RoU broke up, and most of it's members left to join Eclipse. Eclipse recently crumbled as well, and now many of it's members are housed in Anonymous.
The problems with eclipse almost caused a /gdisband. The current GM is Karraidin. With the help of his officers, Karraidin has turned around eclipse and they are now back to doing 25-man raid content. Eclipse recently assimilated most of the hardcore raid members of the guild "Unknown Entity", which was progressing in Karazhan and at one point almost had enough members for two Karazhan groups. The Unknown Entity assimilation started on April 28th. and both Karazhan raid groups cleared up to (And including) the Curator on the first night after the raid reset. The integration was so successful that a sudden decision was made to attempt 25-man content that same Sunday. On their first night of tries, they defeated High King Maulgar and Nearly defeated Gruul the DragonKiller.
