History

Shadow Wrath began with no major aspirations other then as a place for friends and family to join up to enjoy the content of World of Warcraft. Originally founded by Sentarus and other current members, such as our Guild Master Morgulnar, Shadow Wrath quickly grew. Comprised mainly of members centered in North-west New York, many Shadow Wrath members are located in the Tri-state area and the greater Eastern Seaboard - but also includes many members in Canada, the central US, and the West Coast and even world-wide.

Shadow Wrath's growth and ascension into end-game was slow and steady, breaking into Zul'Gurub solo and Molten Core with the guild Thunder Downunder in early October, 2005. However, Shadow Wrath soon found themselves beginning to slowly lose raiding members to other, larger guilds. The leadership then began to focus on breaking into raiding content solo. Between October and December Shadow Wrath recruited heavily, absorbing a number of smaller guilds including Gosetine - where a number of our key members came from. On December 21st, 2005 Shadow Wrath entered into the realm of "End-Game Raiding" by defeating Lucifron in Molten Core with an overwhelming majority of Shadow Wrath members and the help of a small crew of members from the guild, House of Fallen Daggers. At the beginning of 2006 Shadow Wrath recruited a large portion of the officers and raiders from the guild Death with Honor who were in the midst of dissolving their own guild at the time. This finally allowed Shadow Wrath to fully field its own balanced Raid Team with substitutes to spare.

The rest of 2006 treated Shadow Wrath very well. Besides a major setback in March-April '06 due to major server lag (which made it impossible to raid for almost 6 weeks), Shadow Wrath progressed quickly through content in MC, the 20man Instances, Onyxia, Blackwing Lair, some cooperative-alliance World Boss Kills, and Ahn'Qiraj. However, after defeating the Twin Emperors in AQ40 the onset of winter holidays, computer crashes, hacked accounts, college finals, vacations, and diminished interest as members awaited the BC Expansion, Shadow Wrath found themselves unable to progress past Instructor Razuvious in Naxxramas.

With the dawn of The Burning Crusade Shadow Wrath has turned a new leaf in the guild's history. While managing to hang on to many of the core raiding members that contributed greatly to the family-like values, a necessary "clean up" of the guild roster was implemented following the release of the expansion. Still, Shadow Wrath aims to retain its very close-knit, family feel that has been with us for almost two years. We are adamant to build upon our past of solid raiding progression and ascend to the level of a top-tier raiding guild on Kargath. Be on the lookout for us to prove our skills and abilities to the rest of the raiding guilds on Kargath... and to leave them in our dust!
