Shinigami (死神, Shinigami, literally "death god") is the Japanese name for personifications of death, in particular the Grim Reaper, which was imported to Japan from Europe during the Meiji period.

The land went quiet as the birth of Shinigami brought a new dimension of on-line gaming to the Quel’Thalas realm of World of Warcraft. A group of experienced players sealed the insignia to become the ‘death gods’ of its realm, actively progressing on the raiding frontier in an environment that is personalised, friendly and helpful to all its members.

Members of Shinigami pride themselves in the fact that they are part of a team of dedicated players that are mature in their thinking and revels in the thrill of raiding. It’s a group of players that are willing to help fellow guild-members as well as being acutely aware of their character’s capabilities as well as those of others and pushing their performance to the limit.

Shinigami members have raged the battle to 70 and have experienced gruelling and rewarding adventures in Outland. It is a small yet potent guild that is focussed on exploring end-game territory with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is inducive to growth and progress.

Shinigami is a place where courtesy reigns supreme and where each member is considered to be more than just a player – but a friend.
