Information

Alliance Crest SoulBound, an established RPG and MMO guild dating back to the early days of the first Diablo, was present during WoW beta, and on into retail. Members span the globe, but the guild plays on a MST server, Icecrown, with Alliance faction.

Play Style

SoulBound is mostly composed of casual players, raiding two days a week on the norm. We do not impose class or level restrictions upon our members, and do not require attendance to guild events or raids. There is no quota for hours spent in-game. We do request, however, that our members have massive quantities of fun while they play. We utilize our very own Teamspeak server to communicate during raids and instances, or simply just to chat.

History

Formerly known as both Krieger and Moltenlava, SoulBound grew into a guild during a time where the use of cheats in online gaming was commonplace. The need for policies on cheats and hacks, and Krieger's inaction on this front, pushed one of the founders, Lavawalker, to split from the guild. The guild that was formed from the members who wanted to play a clean and honorable game of Diablo was called Moltenlava. The first and most important rule of the new guild was to have fun.

Eventually, the guild grew to nearly 200 members. When Ultima Online was announced, Moltenlava faced the new challenge of the nascent MMO. The friendship of the players held the guild together through UO, and on into the introduction of levels in EverQuest. Eventually, however, differences pushed Lavawalker to disband the guild.

Those who remained, however, wished to continue gaming with one another. Because Lavawalker claimed ownership of the Moltenlava name, the guild was rechristened SoulBound. Focused, as always, on the friendships that are found in gaming, SoulBound is seen more as a community and less as a guild.

The transition to World of Warcraft has pushed SoulBound to more organized events, as detailed in the guild's forums.

SoulBound is always accepting members. If you play on Icecrown and are interested, please post on the Boot Camp forum at the SoulBound website, or PST to one of the guild's officers in-game.
